Cotton and Jewels is a boutique selling trendy clothing, accessories, and “fine” and fun costume jewelry.
Owner Shari Schenerman is a designer who makes much of the jewelry herself. She loves transpiring jewelry into contemporary pieces from vintage sterling silver, 14KT gold and upcycled items like designer inspired damaged goods.
Customers bring nostalgic heirloom items, or items “once loved,” and Shari reconstructs them into something contemporary that they can wear to a special event. She also has an affinity for charms and medallions. “I am an artist by birth and if I like the shape of something, whether it is jewelry, furniture, or just redecorating a space, I will redo it because I love making things look better,” says Shari, adding “in this economy, it is more cost effective and sustainable to redo items than to buy new.” Stop in for a consultation.
