Tai Chi is a very deep art with no finish line. New Jersey Tai Chi believes in teaching real Tai Chi in depth as soon as possible. In order to reap the many benefits of Tai Chi, you need to learn structural alignments; efficiency of movement; the various body states and energies of the art. Those are some of the skills that will bring about the real benefits, which they want you to receive as soon as possible. As a result, they teach a short form in order to avoid a common problem in Tai Chi. Most schools spend great amounts of time learning long sets of choreography without developing the real components and skills of Tai Chi.

Harry Legg is the Founder of New Jersey Tai Chi and Clear Tai Chi Regional Organizer for New Jersey and New York. Harry studies Tai Chi and Internal Arts under Master Richard Clear and is the NY/NJ Clear Tai Chi Regional Organizer. Harry holds certifications from Master Clear in Tai Chi, Qigong, Push Hands, Fa Kung Healing, and Self Defense. He is also certified by The American Tai Chi and Qigong Association.

New Jersey Tai Chi trains in Verona park whenever possible. When the weather isn't ideal they train indoors at their facility in Verona, which is outfitted with an IQAir hospital grade air filtration unit.

Regular practice of Tai Chi nourishes the body, mind, and spirit. As physical exercise, Tai Chi stengthens the legs and improves balance. Posture and flexibility in the joints are improved, so you can stand and move with less effort. The slow shifting of weight from leg to leg helps the circulation of blood through the body, improving heart health. The quality of relaxation in Tai Chi, as you move through the sequence of postures, helps to regulate the flow of your internal energy, your qi, through the whole body, nourishing the health of your internal organs.

As you learn to relax physically, you learn to relax your thoughts and emotions, relieving the stress of family, relationships and work. Stress relief is a common Tai Chi benefit that brings many people to this art.

Placing the focus of your awareness at the center of the body makes Tai Chi a moving meditation, a way to be centered and grounded throughout your day.

New Jersey Tai Chi offers group classes for beginners and advanced students, private instruction, senior citizen classes, instructor certification, and corporate wellness programs.

Life-changing
There are many things that I love about Taichi but one thing that stands out is the posture. My body moves better when I’m in the correct posture. It even feels better. I’m so grateful for New Jersey Taichi for teaching me and not holding back
